The respect and admiration I have for everyone involved in Grimsby’s fishing industry and subsequently the Chippy industry in Clee cannot be matched. It’s a gruelling task to be up at the crack of dawn, filleting, processing and grading fish. You go home smelling of sommet awful but as most say “we’re used to it” it is beyond fulfilling to be creating work that celebrates the rich heritage and history but also the reality of so many peoples livelihoods.
